Actually, compared to PG's chance of leaving OKC, all the latest "news" regarding Kawhi Leonard indicate that he will even more likely leave the Spurs. Latest news say Pop doesn't want him in the team anymore, and Kawhi is not getting along with his teammates (especially Parker & Ginobili) etc. Judging from the fact that Kawhi seems to be reluctant to even talk with the team management, his leaving is very likely. News say Pop wants to trade him to an Eastern team in the summer. Celtics' name has been brought up as one of the likely candidates.
We have seen that the rising young talents at the Celtics are quite impressive. It all depends on how much of that the Celtics are willing to part with. Celtics have draft picks to trade and that is a big plus. IMO, Hayward (he is not worth the $31 millions that he is scheduled to make next season, IMO) is the best trade player for Kawhi, but since he is Brad Stevens' favorite pupil, that is not likely. If they intent to keep Horford & Irving, then they have to trade at least 3 out of the four players: Tatum, Morris, Brown, Smart. I think that is too much to give up.
After this playoff, many Eastern teams will be interested in rebuilding and at getting Kawhi. I don't think Pop wants to trade him to a strong Eastern team like the Celtics. 作者: 楊子銘 時間: 2018-5-3 09:27 PM
